Privacy Policy

1. Purposes of Processing

Reada ("the Company") processes personal information solely for the following purposes.
  • User identification and maintaining sign-in (Google authentication)
  • Generating and storing daily tarot readings
  • Managing gem and membership balances and keeping payment records
  • Analyzing service usage statistics and improving quality
  • Fulfilling obligations under applicable law and handling disputes

2. Information Collected

The Company processes the following items of personal information.

  • From your Google account: user identifier (uid), display name, email address, and profile image (if available)
  • Automatically collected during use: access date and time, IP address, device and browser information, and reading records (questions, drawn cards, reading text)
  • At time of payment: the payment identifier issued by the payment processor, payment amount, and date. The Company does not store the payment instrument itself, such as card numbers.

3. Outsourced Processing and Third-Party Sharing

The Company entrusts certain processing tasks to outside providers in order to operate the service.

  • Google Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication, database, storage, hosting
  • Google Gemini API (Google LLC) — generation of reading text. Submitted questions and card information are used in processing.
  • Payment processors — global processors such as Paddle or domestic payment gateways. Information is entrusted only as needed for payment processing.

Aside from the above, the Company does not share personal information with third parties without the user's consent. An exception applies where there is a lawful request from an investigative authority under applicable law.

4. Retention and Disposal

The user's reading records and account information are retained until the user requests withdrawal. Payment records may be retained for five years pursuant to the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.

Upon withdrawal, the Company will promptly destroy the retained reading records and account information. However, information that must be retained under law will be stored separately for the required period and then destroyed.

5. Your Rights

You may at any time request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of your personal information. These rights may be exercised through the in-service "Sign out" / "Delete account" features or through the contact channel below.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Company uses cookies and local storage to maintain sign-in sessions and measure service stability. You may refuse to accept cookies in your browser settings, but some features may be limited as a result.

7. Security Measures

To protect personal information, the Company takes reasonable technical and administrative measures including transport-layer encryption (HTTPS), access controls, Firebase security rules, and server-side authentication verification.

8. Personal Information of Children Under 14

This service is not intended for children under the age of 14. If the Company becomes aware that a child under 14 has signed up, the Company will delete the account immediately.

10. Revision History
